Genealogía de la Razón Técnica: Crítica a sus Efectos Políticos, Económicos y Culturales - Genealogy of Technical Reason: Critique of its Political, Economic, and Cultural effects
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.5.1108
This dissertation critically examines the contemporary technical phenomenon from a historical and philosophical perspective, challenging the assumption of its neutrality. Rather than functioning as a mere set of tools, the technical system constitutes a normative framework that defines its own criteria of efficiency and control, shaping social life across political, economic, and cultural domains. Guided by a genealogical and critical approach, the study traces the historical conditions and capitalist dynamics that have captured knowledge and subordinated it to the logic of accumulation. Drawing on classical and contemporary thinkers such as Marx, Marcuse, Ellul, Habermas, Berardi, Rifkin, Coeckelbergh, Fisher, and Srnicek, it analyzes how technical rationality transforms politics into technocracy, economics into an abstract and self-referential system, and science into an instrument of utilitarian and financial interests.
Violencia y Vínculos Cis Heterosexuales: Más allá del Paradigma "Hasta Que La Muerte Nos Separe" - Violence in Cis-Heterosexual Relationships: Beyond the “Until Death Do Us Part” Paradigm
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.6.1106
The following research work is carried out within the framework of the Supervised Professional Practices in the Clinical area of the Psychology degree program. It is structured around interviews conducted with individuals who sought psychological assistance at the General Directorate of Violence. All the cases addressed involved cisgender women, most of whom reported that the perpetrators of violence were cisgender men, often their partners. For this reason, the study aims to investigate how psychoanalysis, from a gender perspective, theorizes this issue and to establish an articulation with the interviews conducted. The data analysis focuses on the construction of hegemonic female subjectivity in relation to hegemonic masculinity within heterosexual and monogamous couples. It concludes that these forms of violence must be interpreted within a socio-historical and cultural context, where analyzing power relations between genders becomes crucial.
School Texts and their Discursive Genre - Los Textos Escolares y su Género Discursivo
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.5.1096
School textbooks are an essential tool for classroom work. Not only do they accompany the teaching-learning process, but they also reflect society, the policies implemented, and the dreams and projects of a nation and its citizens. This work covers one hundred and thirty years of Argentine history, from 1953, with the enactment of the National Constitution, to 1983, with the restoration of democracy. It relates each stage to the school textbooks in use at the time, written testimonies of an era, and analyses different books from the perspective of their discursive genres. To this end, it takes as its reference the ideas of Mikhail Bakhtin, set out in his book The Aesthetics of Verbal Creation (1999), in which he develops the concepts of theme, structure and style. These are three aspects with innumerable combinations, since each school textbook is a product of society itself, with all its complexities.
Redención Argentina. Un Análisis de la Desmalvinización a Partir de las Teorías de Michel Foucault - Argentina’s Redemption: An Analysis of Demalvinization through Michel Foucault’s Theories
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.6.1092
In this essay, I examine desmalvinization, a process through which, in order to favor the United Kingdom, the history of the Malvinas Islands and the surrounding archipelagos was altered. Specifically, I demonstrate the falsehood of certain widely accepted ideas, such as the supposed English discovery of the territories, the dictatorship-driven motive for the 1982 war, and the alleged superiority of the British Army during the conflict. To carry out this analysis, I draw on Michel Foucault’s theories about how historical events can be reshaped through discourses of power. The conclusion of the essay is that desmalvinization is a real phenomenon. Indeed, even today, historical distortions continue to be disseminated in order to benefit the United Kingdom, which seeks to instill in its rival a colonial mindset. In other words, it aims to preserve its imperial status by discrediting the only underdeveloped country that was able to confront it with dignity: Argentina.
Martín Fierro, más allá de las borderas - Martín Fierro, Beyond Borders
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.6.1091
Argentina has a seminal literary work: Martín Fierro. Its existence has contributed, like no other, to the construction of national identity. Emerging from the canon of 19th-century gaucho literature, its pages inspired—and continue to inspire—countless creations, studies, and rewritings. Its thematic richness leads one to consider not only its continued relevance but also the possibility that the work possesses qualities that transcend the national question. It is from this aspect of universality that the proposal of this thesis arises: to identify the elements that allow Martín Fierro to be recognized not merely as a national classic, but as a work that offers readings and themes capable of crossing borders and becoming a text of interest to the world, on par with universal classics.
Material de Abuso Sexual Infantil Generado A Partir De La Inteligencia Artificial: Una Revisión de Literatura - Child Sexual Abuse Material Generated from Artificial Intelligence: A Literature Review
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.4.1050
This research addresses the question of legal and psychological consequences of child pornography created by artificial intelligence (AI). The problem lies in the misuse of AI to impersonate child images with sexual connotation, generating harmful effects such as violations of human rights and personal integrity, along with legal and psychological repercussions. Rapid technological advancement has created a legal and ethical vacuum. The general objective is to analyze these consequences, while specific objectives include examining current laws, investigating distribution methods and affected populations, and describing characteristics of consumers and distributors. The methodology used is mixed (exploratory-descriptive and social critical), combining documentary analysis, legal hermeneutics, and metrics analysis. The theoretical framework is based on the concept of "Deep Fake," AI-manipulated files that simulate authenticity and often depict children being abused.
La Práctica Médica de las Mujeres en la Edad Media- The Medical Practice of Women in the Middle Ages
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.3.1048
This bachelor thesis aims to study the practice of medicine by women in medieval Europe. The research explores how women from different social classes accessed medical knowledge, as well as the importance of medicine in society and in legal trials. It delves into the necessity of distinct female medical practices within the patriarchal structure of the time. The thesis also addresses the initial acceptance—and subsequent rejection—of female health professionals. Additionally, it analyses the connections between women, religion, popular culture, and medical practices. Altogether, this work offers an in-depth approach to the medical practice of women in the Middle Ages.
Relatos sobre las Violencias De Género En el Politécnico Grancolombiano - Stories about Gender-Based Violence at Politécnico Grancolombiano
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.2.1039
Higher education institutions (HEIs) have the responsibility to protect their community from gender-based violence (GBV). However, the current response pathways and strategies exhibit several shortcomings. Given this, we seek to interpret the narratives on gender-based violence (GBV) of people linked to the Intitución Universitaria Politécnico Grancolombiano (IUPGC) through a case study, with the qualitative research method, case study design with descriptive scope, 4 participants linked to the IUPGC University, semi-structured interview instrument and ethical considerations according to Law ten ninety (2006). Finding incidence between gender-based violence (GBV) in university contexts, religion, politics, power and consumption of Psychoactive substances (PS). Physical violence is more noticeable but there is also harm when emotional violence is exercised or received.
Estudio de caso: Ansiedad generalizada en paciente que padeció de negligencia infantil abordado desde la terapia de esquemas y la terapia cognitivo-conductual - Case Study: Generalized Anxiety in a Patient who Suffered from Child Neglect Approached from Schema Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.2.1033
This article presents a theoretical and practical conceptualization of an intervention based on the Schema Therapy model and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), applied to a 39-year-old patient who initially sought help due to unemployment and childhood issues affecting his self-esteem. The evaluation process utilized tools such as semi-structured interviews, the DASS-21 questionnaires, Plutchik’s suicide risk scale, Camir-R, BDI, and YSQ, which helped identify the presence of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in the patient. The results demonstrate a significant effectiveness of the clinical intervention using both models, reflecting a notable reduction in initial distress, a decrease in symptoms, an increase in the patient's confidence, and the adoption of more adaptive coping strategies. This highlights the positive impact generated by integrating both therapies in the patient’s intervention.
From Neighborhood to Trendy Zone: Gentrification in Chueca at the End of the 20th Century. De Vecindario a Zona Trendy: La Gentrificación en Chueca a Finales del Siglo XX
DOI: 10.17160/josha.12.1.1024
Considered in the second half of the 20th century as one of the worst neighborhoods in Madrid and known by the name "yonkielandia" in the rest of Spain, the process of gentrification did not reach the neighborhood until the 1990s, led by the LGBTI+ community. Thanks to urban and queer historiography, we are aware of the gentrification and improvement processes that took place in the neighborhood, but what about the existing population in the area? The significant changes in the Chueca neighborhood and the arrival of new residents must have had a substantial impact on an already existing population that was impoverished and overlooked. It's the unheard history in gentrification processes. To conduct the research, I will initially use various newspaper articles to track the atmosphere in the neighborhood and the different responses to gentrification processes. Additionally, I will utilize data provided by the municipal statistical yearbooks of the Community of Madrid.
