Each chapter presents, and reflects the guide of the technical details of sustainable architectural design, accompanied with photographs, drawings and case studies. The textbook is divided into sixteen chapters as a result of the specificity of the study. The second chapter presents and elaborates the specifics of the current practice of the linear design process, followed by the third chapter, which elaborates the fundamental definitions in the context of the diversity of the meaning variations. The chapters from four to eight: Introduces new approaches by which architects are responding to the challenges for creating sustainable architecture, defining the contemporary approaches to the organic architecture which are inspired by nature, analyzing and describing the basic principles on achieving the human comfort, followed by the main chapter of this monograph, which describe the concepts, guidelines and conceptual design principles in terms of a sustainable architectural design. The chapters from nine to thirteen: represents the work of the students in the Master's courses at the University of the Prishtina, followed by the describing of the water essential features and use in architecture, technological advancements and achievements on the vertical transport in an architectural structures, succeed by the environmental analysis and biodiversity in the context of architectural design and quality of the life in communities, and urban waste management. The chapters from fourteen to fifteen: defines one of the main studies of this monograph, describing the mission of the architecture as a creative social process, describing the development of the city of Pristina in the time and space, conceptual differences, formulating urban and social problems, and the preferable architectural approaches to the possible findings of these social phenomenon’s, respectively, design models in the context of the actual architectural challenges we are facing. Chapter Sixteen: Introduces approach to the standards, informing the students about the people with special needs, besides lectures this chapter serve as a reminder of the dignitary respect they should have in any design circumstances, especially when they have the opportunity to participate in architectural design.
