one of the winners, Federico Abal, presents the torture known as one of the actions considered morally aberrant and unacceptable. It often refers to the prohibition of this practice as an illustration of the type of rights that all people have for the sole reason that they are tortured and that must be respected. Despite this negative assessment of torture, expressed masterfully in the anecdote of the anarchist comrade, the debate over its moral permissibility has been revitalized in recent decades. In his thesis, the author addresses this and other problems related to the contemporary debate on torture. From the analysis offered in these three chapters he concludes that torture is an immoral prima facie practice, that it can be morally justifiable in exceptional cases and that, by virtue of such exceptionality, it is not reasonable to incur in legal reforms such as those proposed by the institutionalist model.

Campodonico as one of the Winners, From Argentina, present his work showing an interesting perspective of tragic. The author's research concludes based on the movement of a concept that is used for exegetical purposes in the interpretation of much of The Birth of Tragedy. As we have seen, it is coupled with enormous success in the argument of the book. Therefore, the importance of art for the young Nietzsche greatly transcends his relationship with Richard Wagner, as well as his appropriation and reinterpretation of many Schopenhaurian ideas and, moreover, the historical moment of Germany at the end of the 19th century. For Nietzsche, art is something so significant that it cannot be subject to the impression of a moment - even a stage in his life. We have argued that the complexity of the book on tragedy proves that it is the product of long years of meditation, analysis, discovery, and experience on the part of the professor in Basel.

One of the Winners, Guido Arditi, was born in Argentina in 1986. Thanks to his excellent academic performance at an early age, he was awarded a scholarship to finish high school at The Mahindra United World College of India, where he graduated in 2005. He studied Philosophy at the University of Buenos Aires in his home country, and in 2012 was awarded a scholarship to study at the University of the Republic in Uruguay. His final thesis was "Romantic Love from a Marxian Perspective" for which he won the Demetrios Prize in 2019. Since 2016 he is doing his Ph.D. at the University of Buenos Aires. He has participated in numerous congresses in different universities in Argentina, and also in Montevideo (UdelaR), Puerto Rico (UPR) and New York (NYU/Columbia). His work has been published in specialized magazines in different countries such as Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia. He has also given a TEDx lecture and has been invited on some radio programs that can be found online.

The heritage of humanity must be the capital of the world, that is, a potential sample of nature and man genius, these creators being very aesthetic manifestations. Added, it is necessary to announce that the present essay is a research study on the need to raise awareness about the care of the manifestations that conform to our natural and cultural heritage. This writing has to be based and justified under the vision of UNESCO and the conservationist incidence of the Burra Charter (1979) and the Venice Charter (1964), as well as research, is enriched thanks to certain documents that encourage and demonstrate what very important is the preservation, care, and restoration of the diverse riches that sustain the heritage of humanity. In summary, this essay defines the need to empathize with our culture and nature, at the level, of identifying ourselves with each heritage as active participants of its care.

The objective of this thesis is to propose a new normative model of moral justification and to include it in the set of already existing normative models, which deliberate on whether or not there is an obligation of auxiliary attention of the researcher towards the individual participant of biomedical research. The term "ancillary care" refers to the health care that clinical research participants need, but that is not related to the safety or scientific validity of the research, nor is it related to the management ("redress") of harm caused to participants. This model that I propose, and which I will call the "Special Relationship Model," focuses on certain special relationships of research participants, such as dependent family members and/or sexual partners, directly or indirectly linked to clinical research.

CONCEPTS Chagas’ disease, a zoonosis caused by Trypanosoma cruzi, is present in South America. Can be vectorborne, bloodborne and congenital infection. It shows tropism through smooth cardiac and gastrointestinal muscle, as well as nerve and reticuloendothelial tissue. Inoculation site evidence, prolonged fever syndrome, and general malaise lasting between 2 and 8 weeks characterize its acute phase. Direct parasitaemia detection study or indirect serology make diagnosis. Detection of acute infections is infrequent and confirmation of oral transmission is difficult. We report one case of acute Chagas associated with oral transmission. CASE PRESENTATION Previously healthy schoolchild, with fever lasting 15 days, and facial edema. Antecedents along immediately preceding month: father, mother and pregnant sister showing acute fever syndrome associated with dyspnea with thick-drop testing positive for Chagas. Rural area dwellers of a cane and mud house.

This article of one of the winners of the DEMETRIOS PRIZE 2019 covers everything related to radial cup fractures, which account for 4% of anatomical fractures. Despite advances and innovations in trauma management, unstable radial dome fractures challenge proper management until the orthopedist achieves the best results. The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the functional evaluation in the postoperative follow-up of these patients using a functional scale that gives us a perspective that favors some of these procedures. As a result, the median age of 37 years was found in the patients, with a slightly higher prevalence in women, 62.5% with left elbow and traffic injuries, which accounted for more than half of the cases, 62.5% with Mason IV radial dome fractures and 37.5% with Mason III type. Open reduction and osteosynthesis were performed in 62.5% of patients, while arthroplasty was performed in the remainder.

Background: The evaluation of the fetal circulation, mainly of the umbilical artery (AU), middle cerebral artery (MCA) and ductus venosus (DV), have been the pillars in the diagnosis and monitoring of the main alterations in fetuses with restriction of the intrauterine growth (IUGR). Given the need to have a parameter with the predictive power of adverse outcomes that allows us to define the opportune moment of birth of a fetus with IUGR, the pulsatility index of the aortic isthmus appears as the point of connection between the two fetal circulatory systems arranged in parallel between the left and right ventricle. Objective: To establish the degree of correlation between the pulsatility index of the fetal aortic isthmus and the function of the middle left ventricle by the TEI index in fetuses with estimated fetal weight below the 3rd percentile (PFE <p3).

First research in humans involves a wide variety of studies where the common factor is to test a new intervention, that is, never before tested in humans. In addition, it is a topic of interest for research ethics since failures in research projects have been reported that caused serious harm and even the death of some healthy participants. But this is only the worrying reason because also this type of research proposes to achieve a great advance in knowledge by trying to transfer the preclinical findings to the clinic. If a balance is struck between the need to develop new therapeutics and adequate protection for participants, society will benefit without unfairly burdening any of its members. In order to properly analyze this topic, three fundamental questions about first human research will be attempted: What is it, how is it justified? And how is it regulated?
